Army theme

This set of mini chocolate cupcakes was for a little boy who turned 6 over the weekend. His aunt had requested an army theme as he really loves anything that has to do with the army. This one really required a little more brainstorming but I'm really happy with the end result. There was a lot of that-does-not-look-right and finally-got-it-right moments and of course, every design I came up with had to pass the critics approval, aka my family! So you saw it here first on SugarCane! Original designs by your truly!

Flower Power II

The last set of Flower Power(Garden of Flowers) I did was for my niece. Then her sister-in-law saw it and said she wanted to order one set too but this time without any wordings. So I call this Flower Power II as there are more flowery designs here. And ever since I first posted a photo featuring ladybugs, lots of people have fallen in love with that really cute smiley bug and have requested for it! Heck even my family and I love the little critter! He really is so cute to look at!!!
Anyway, this set cost $25.

Young love

Ordered by one of my best customer who really seems to enjoy cupcakes not only for herself but giving it as a gift too! This is a set of medium chocolate and vanilla cupcakes and cost just $23. Hope you and your "baby" enjoyed this one, Zurah!

Cheerful cuppies

This set was ordered by a devoted teacher for her students. She wanted to surprise them with these cuppies as a special treat for them as she felt that they have been doing very well in their studies this term. She requested for the designs to be cheerful so I placed a smile on the face of all the butterflies, caterpillars and ladybugs! And, of course, not forgetting Mr. Smiley Face! Hope everyone enjoyed the cuppies, Teacher Lorene!

Two-tone swirls

Sorry haven't had the time to update this blog lately. Was really busy the past week. I finally have some time to post some of the work I did before heading off to the kitchen to fill more orders! :)

So the following post are some of the cupcakes I did lately. Above features medium chocolate cuppies with the two-tone swirls. I'm gonna make the description short and sweet as I have oodles to do!

All things cute

I like to call this set the "Cute theme". Ordered by my niece who likes anything that has to do with being very "girly" thus all the butterflies, handbags, crowns and teddy bears!

This set of 49 pieces mini chocolate cupcakes actually cost $25 as it does not include any wordings and designs are alot harder to do specially on mini cuppies!

Best Friends and Good Luck wishes

This was ordered by a group of students who are preparing to sit for the PMB this year. They wanted it to "show our interest in doing well in PMB". Besides books being the obvious design, I also added sheets of paper with "A" grades on them. Thought it'd be nice to add smiley again(sorry, but I just love Smiley face!) but this time as a graduating smiley!
I then added rolled up certificates to finish off the entire theme.

So some of you may be wondering how come there are two photos with completely different wordings. This set is actually an order for 49 pieces but the girls wanted them into 2 seperate boxes with different wordings. That's all there is to it!

Garden of flowers

Did this set for my friend's Mummy who celebrated her birthday over the weekend. She wanted it to be filled with flowers as her Mum really enjoys growing flowers. So I also like to call this one "Flower Power!"

The colour combination she chose was really on the spot as it helped bring the flowers to life. I love the cuppies that look like a pot of flowers, as do my girls.

Then at the last minute my friend emails me and ask if I could include the ladybug that she saw on another set of minis I did. And, of course, as this was going towards a garden theme I was only too happy to oblige! It made the whole set look all the more sweeter.

Banana Chocolate Chip cupcakes with Peanut Butter Cream Cheese Frosting

These little beauties features banana, chocolate chips, peanut butter and cream cheese. Yum! The combination of peanut butter cream cheese frosting with the chocolate chip is a to-die-for experience! The batch that I whipped up for my family did not last long at all!

A box of these delectable mini cuppies cost just $30 for 36 pieces. While for a box of 16 medium size cuppies cost $27.

Beach theme cupcakes

Cocktail umbrellas, flip-flops, beach ball, shells and character wearing sunglasses helped make this beach theme cupcakes a fun one to make! My second girl couldn't wait to open the cocktail umbrellas and insert them into the cupcakes!

As this is a set of vanilla and chocolate mini cupcakes I decided to make small pull-apart cupcakes for the sandy beach designs. It also helped eliminate the problem of the umbrellas being too big for the mini cuppies! I also added "sand"(cracker crumbs) to give the designs a more realistic look.

My hubby found the little characters with their coloured shades really cute!

Black, white and red colour theme

This set of assorted medium cupcakes was ordered by a loving daughter for her Dad who was turning 69.

The set consists of Red Velvet, Chocolate, Vanilla and Cookies & Cream cupcakes and cost $25. I had to omit the swirls topped with mini Oreos from the Cookies & Cream in order to fit in the designs and wordings requested by the customer.

It is possible to order a set of assorted cupcakes like this with whatever flavour you would like. However, prices for such will vary accordingly depending on the cupcake flavour and designs.

For anyone wishing to order a set like this, please email me at sugarcane.littlepleasures@gmail.com

Rockin' Best Friends

Another set of cupcakes to help best friends celebrate their friendship. The customer's sister had ordered a similar set but she wanted this set to really "rock" so she asked to change some colours and to add guitars.

So, Liz, hope you and your friends had a rockin' good time eating these cuppies!!!

Music theme

These cupcakes was one of the last orders I filled before taking some well deserved time off.
Ordered by a freind's friend for another friend's daughter. A girl named Emily who was turning 15 and happens to love playing the piano. Had some help in the designs again from my eldest daughter who also plays the piano and loves music. The customer had originally asked for piano keys to be included in the design but since I though of using a white background I decided to put grand pianos instead and she loved the idea! Happy to report that Emily was thrilled with her first ever birthday cupcakes!
