Gong Xi Fa Cai

To all my Chinese friends and customers I would like to wish you
Gong Xi Fa Cai!

These are just some of the orders I had for Chinese New Year. One of the reasons why I haven't had the time to update my blog. The other would be due to last weeks downpour. While there was no flooding or power outage at our place, the phone lines were down for several days. By the time the problem were rectified, I was too busy getting the Chinese New Year order filled to have the time to update my blog. And as I'm still kinda tired, this will be all for now... Hope everyone had a smashing good time celebrating the Chinese New Year!

For a loving Mum

These mini vanilla cupcakes were ordered by my niece-in-law for her Mum's birthday. As she is from Seria I had to freeze this for several hours before collection so that it could survive the journey. Am happy to report that it did! (Sorry Tante, that am only posting this now! Didn't realize that this post has been saved as a draft for
quite a while! Sowee! Jagan marah ah!)

This isn't the 1st order that I had that was intended for someone in Seria/KB. I once made a box of minis for a friend in Seria and another customer had ordered 2 boxes of mini for the her family in KB. All of which survived the trip! So if are intending to order cupcakes that has to endure a long journey, please tell when making the order so that I can prepare it well in advance.

Mini cookies

Here are some photos of the mini cookies I sell. The first one is of Mini Chocolate Chip cookies. It's very buttery and crunchy and as they are minis it's also great for those on a diet who need their daily indulgence! Myself, I don't really go on diets but I do watch what I eat and always eat in moderation. So that's why I love mini cookies as I can have 2-3 of these and not feel guilty about it! Have one big, giant cookie and the guilt just eats at you!

Another healthy alternative to the chocolate chips, that my husband and kids love, are the Mini Oatmeal Raisin cookies. Double whamo for this-Oatmeal and raisin! Where can you go wrong?! Oatmeal to helps reduce LDL(bad) cholesterol without lowering HDL(good) cholesterol. As for raisins, well it's full of fibre and vitamins and counts towards your daily fruit and veg portions! So these I eat as much as I want and never, ever feel guilty! Enough said!

I love making these cookies for my kids to snack on. They are also very handy for school snacks and they can be easily places in
small containers that don't take up too much space in the school bags. My twins just love gobbling-up the mini oatmeal raisin cookies(as they are only 3years old, I don't let them eat chocolate yet) and so whenever I make them for customers I always make extra or I will have a household of angry people with me!!!

A 200g bag of Mini Cookies cost just $7.55 ($8 for Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies with nuts)

Mini blueberry cheescakes

I made these mini cheesecakes a couple of days ago. A kinda back-to-school treat for my daughters as they love cheesecakes. In fact, we are a cheesecake-loving family! Cheesecakes, either minis or a whole cake, never lasts a day in this household! It comes from being a cheese-loving family. Gotta love those grilled-cheese sandwiches!!

Anyway, a box of these cost just $27 for 36 pieces and comes in 3
different fillings: blueberry(as pictured on the right), strawberry
or cherry. Best served chilled but yummy all the same even at
room temperature!
